About Me – Wodan Forge

My journey into knifemaking and blacksmithing started long before I ever picked up a hammer or a blade. I've always had a deep passion for both craftsmanship and the outdoors—whether it's bushcraft, hiking, or simply spending time in nature. This connection to the natural world sparked an idea in me: to create my own knife.

In 2017, I bought a small garage, and in that modest, cramped space, I began building my blacksmithing and knife-making workshop. I had no one around me to learn from, as this is a rare craft, and I had to teach myself everything along the way. Each step taught me new skills, especially in material processing, and I quickly realized that knife making was not just a craft, but a path to personal growth and discovery.

Due to limited financial resources, I couldn’t afford many of the machines I needed, so I had to build many of them myself. This hands-on experience was invaluable and allowed me to move forward in creating my own tools for high-quality production.

As I delved deeper into the world of knives, I became fascinated by Damascus steel and the artistry behind it. I also discovered a passion for exotic woods, which I use to craft beautiful handles. I would like to use iron meteorites in the future, which I incorporate into the function or decorative elements of the handles and blades. I take pride in crafting knife sheaths from premium cowhide leather, using high-quality dyes and paying meticulous attention to detail.

While I appreciate traditional methods, I also recognize the importance of adapting to modern technology. CNC machining has become an important tool in my work, allowing me to combine craftsmanship with precision and efficiency.

I’ve always known that I wanted to run my own business and not work in a factory. Since high school, I’ve had the vision of achieving something extraordinary—something that isn’t easily seen or found. Although I haven’t fully realized this dream yet, I remain optimistic that with the help of a supportive community, my vision will become a reality. After all, a craftsman is nothing without the people who appreciate his work.

In 2021, I took a big step forward by building my second workshop, hoping to expand Wodan Forge and fully focus on blacksmithing and knife making. Unfortunately, due to personal hardships drug addictions and because of my head that can't stop thinking about eternity . I lost that workshop. But rather than give up I got up from the floor, I’ve decided to start over and rebuild everything from the ground up.

I believe that even in tough times, we can come together to create something truly remarkable. If not now, when? Let’s build this together.
